I promise to do better with my children. Teaching them to respect there bodies and not to abuse it. Teaching my boys to respect women and to look at them as more than sex. Tell my girls to expect better, if he truly loves you then he will wait. Down the road they need to know, that being single and untouched, will feel a lot better than feeling single and used. This one brought me to tears. I volunteer with a group of young girls ages 8 - 16 for Rashan's nonprofit Sporty Girls and this poem makes me think of them. So many of them don't know they're special and I sense everyday that we who volunteer with them are the only ones who let them know. I want to share this with them (the older ones at least).
